My work as a writer

As mentioned before, I’m just trying to make my way as a writer with several themes and styles.

It all started with a science-fiction-story about ten years ago. Since starting this way, I never made it to stop writing and thinking about it anymore. And imagine what happened? My first little story has finally been published last year.

Banner TextYou can find it in the collection of science-fiction-stories called
“Die schlafenden Mumien” (“The sleeping mummies”) that has been published by Gisela Ermel. You can get this book or further information at:

The title of this little story is “Welt der Marionetten” (“World of puppets”), and you can find it on the German part of my homepage at:
"Welt der Marionetten".
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been translated into English yet. Anyway, I hope, you’ll have some fun with reading it in German. And you never know - maybe, an American publisher might be interested in it some day... As a writer, you never stop hoping and dreaming. Banner Text

But time doesn’t stand still, and we are changing from year to year. So, in autumn 1999, I felt like writing a very different kind of a little book – no thriller and no science-fiction-story, but a little book about my home-country Germany and about the big and small problems that we are facing here every day and that are driving us crazy much too often, but above all, about the people in this country that may be so beautiful and exciting, if we only keep our eyes open. I believe that the people should finally start acting and looking for ways to fight the problems instead of waiting for solutions “from above”, and I’m sure that all of us could have a lot more fun and we could enjoy life again much more, if only we’ll start making our way into a better and brighter future for this country and for ourselves. – Yes, I’m also talking about you, about you and me, about all of us. The so-called common people can reach so much, if only they believe in themselves. I truly believe this. Anyway...

Banner Text hope that this little book may be entertaining, but I also wish, that my readers will start thinking about themselves and about their own lives and trying to find some more personal ideas and solutions. So, I’d also like to start a big discussion with it, and I’m curious for your opinion about it.
This little book has been published at the Fouqué Literaturverlag in Egelsbach, Germany in October 2000. It’s called:
"Deutschland im Herbst - ...und Wege in den Frühling"Banner Text
ISBN 3-8267-4804-2
.

Would you like to get to know a little bit more about it?
If yes, please, have a look at the German part of my homepage as you’ll find the preface, the table of contents and the appendix of this book there.Banner Text
Unfortunately, also this hasn’t been translated into English yet, but as it’s been said before, nobody knows... I already told you that I’ll never stop dreaming.
So, enjoy reading also this little example of what I’m doing!

By the way, I’m highly interested in your personal thoughts and in your opinion concerning this book. If you’d like to talk about it, please send me an e-mail to my following address: CHM3663@AOL.COM
I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Anyway, my favorite subject are thrillers. This seems to be quite natural as I admire authors like Dean R. Koontz and Stephen King a lot, and I read all of their books. Please, don’t get me wrong now. I’d never dare comparing myself with these great professionals, but I want to find my own way and style.

Banner TextUntil now, I finished two thriller manuscripts, and I’m still searching for a publisher or an agent who might be interested in them. In the German part of my homepage, you can find a short overview to get a first idea of the contents of these stories. The titles are:
"Die Mission"
"Das Lächeln der Engel"

Would you probably like to read the whole stories?
I’d be happy to hear from you, and of course, I wish that publishers or agents who might be interested will contact me by e-mail. I’m looking forward to hearing from you, and you can be sure that I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
